Technical Report on overseas mission

This training is started from 30th, Jun to 25th,July.

This course was designed for WCDMA O&M and any telecom engineer who will deal with
Operation and Maintenance, Data configuration, Trouble Shooting of RNC and nodeB in
third generation of mobile networks.
A two day performance management course was also held at the end of this training in
Huawei training center.
RAN O&M course would guide through the following main objectives:
An introduction to hardware
RNC configuration
RNC operation and maintenance
NodeB Configuration
NodeB operation and maintenance
Troubleshooting

3G PM course would guide through the following main objectives:
An introduction to M2000 Performance part
Categorizing KPIs in 5 main group
(Accessibility ,Availability ,Mobility ,Traffic , Cell Algorithm)
Access KPIs and relative counters.
Call Drop KPIs and relative counters.
Mobility KPIs and relative counters.
Traffic KPIs and relative counters.
Cell Algorithm KPIs and relative counters.
During this 20 working days all the student including me were working on 2 RNCs and 2
NodeB in 2 seperate groups . each group 5 person and we roationally did all the
operations personally in the lab.in the 2-3 last days we had no new lesson and just
practiced previous lessons and the mentor gave each group list of operation we must
Peronally speaking the course was truely useful for me since I found a good view on the
Radio part of 3G network ,the elements involved and the KPIs related to that
operation.I now know the meaning of each configuration alarm and how they can be
rectified by hardware changing or software configuration. I had been familier with local
and remote configuration of RNCs using CME and LMT.
About other activities:

Tea Stream Resort Valley
At the end I must appreciate of the all the Efforts experienced by Mr. Hariri, Safavinejd ,
Asghari , Roshani , Jafarian , Tootoonchi , Almasi .
I hope I can use my knowledge in order to the development of these project.
