The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville is pleased to announce Susan

Beaudry as the Foundations new Director of Programs. ffective on !uly "#$ %&"#$
Susan will 'e responsi'le for development and implementation of community health
grantma(ing strategies$ as well as oversight of communications and grants management.

Susan comes highly recommended with an impressive resume of twenty years of
foundation e)perience. *ost recently$ she was the vice president for programs and
learning for Philanthropy Ohio$ where she wor(ed with statewide$ regional and national
partners and developed a process for program evaluation that has since 'een implemented
to ensure programmatic e)cellence.

Her diverse path to foundation education stands out from most$ only adding to her
impressive 'ac(ground. Susan 'egan her education in +hinese language and cultural
studies at Nan,ing Teachers +ollege in the Peoples -epu'lic of +hina$ where she
studied for two years. She then returned to the ..S.$ where she received her 'achelors
degree in meaning$ culture and change at /orld +ollege /est in +alifornia$ followed 'y
coursewor( for a *asters of 0rts in their +ultural 0nthropology program.

/hile still in school$ Susan also served as the education and advocacy director for the
1nternational Development )change$ where she managed their grantma(ing programs in
South and /est 0frica for four years. 1n "223 she 'ecame the 1nterim Director for the
organi4ation$ where she helped to manage a 5&6 volunteer corps.



Susan has held other nota'le positions with the +ommon +ounsel Foundation$ 7a Fetra
Operating Foundation$ 8rantma(ers /ithout Borders and the +ompton Foundation until
%&&&$ when she founded SB 0ssociates$ her own philanthropic advising and consulting
practice. There she offered services in program development$ management and
assessment$ strategic planning$ fundraising$ grantwriting and many other services until
%&"%. +lients included the Pu'lic /elfare Foundation$ dSH0-$ the 8reenville
Foundation and the +ouncil on Foundations.

/hen Susan is not 'usy serving on the 'oard of her local farmers mar(et$ she is
spending time with her hus'and and two young children in rural Ohio$ where she has
lived for "# years.
