Theatrical Moment
The first theatrical moment in the book that I am going to list is when Shukov is made to
mop the floor instead of having to go into the hole. This is theatrical because Shukov is
doing it with a dirty mop which is pointless so this means it is for show to the rest of the
prison

Theatrical Moment
The second theatrical moment I am going to list is how his fellow prisoners refer to Shukov
as Shukov but he is referred to as Ivan Denisovich by the guards which is quite theatrical.

theatrical moment is when all the guards that whip the inmates are doing there
job and they only start giving it all when the head guard appears which is theatrical
