Ibogaine-With its pros and cons.!

The word ibogaine would have alarmed your mind. You would be now head over heels
thinking the meaning of it. Well it's too difficult to understand why you don't use the technology
around you. You are living in 21st century people. Still you are struggling to understand what a
word would mean! Now this is something ridiculous. Anyways if you don't still try to understand
the word, here is the meaning. It is an organic compound.
Its basically an alkaloid.It us called an alkaloid as it contains 20 atoms of carbon, 26 atoms of
hydrogen, 2 atoms of nitrogen and one atom of oxygen. Thus this organic compound contains
four different Elements. It is extracted from apocynaceae family plants. This family of plants is
nothing but flowering plants. Its better to say shrubs and herbs rather than plants. A few plants
from which you may extract ibogaine are tabernan the iboga, voacanga Africana and
tabernaemon tana undulata.

Tabernanthe iboga is found in African forests and iboga can be extracted from the roots of this
plants. Africans used this plant for spiritual purpose in the early days. Later its uses were
researched by the French and the Belgian people. Its main use was its anti addictive property.
However this ibogaine blocks dopamine. Dopamine is an amino acid secreted by our brains. The
less the secretion of this acid, the more is your chances of getting affected by the Parkinson's
disease. It is neuron related disease. And no one would like to risk their lives with the
consumption of ibogaine. Hence it is banned in some countries while some use it as an anti
addictive tool.
As it was France who discovered its uses, it was sold in France during the 1930's as a stimulant.
A stimulant stimulates the adrenaline rush which helped people to overcome depression, pain
agony and so on. It was sold in 8 mg tablets. It became quite famous during that time. Even the
athletes of World War 2 used it forget pain. However it was later banned. It was later banned
because of its stimulating property. Now there are still countries which use ibogaine but for the
anti addiction therapy. These were the pros and cons of ibogaine.
