Unit 5 Introduction

Brief
Vibe productions will be producing a TV show designed for students between
the ages of 14 and 16.
The show will be aired on channel 4 after Hollyoaks every night for a week. The
purpose of the production will be to educate the chosen age range in the
Berkshire area on the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

Main focuses
Deaths of young people due to recklessness caused by alcohol
The effects of constant consumption of alcohol over a lifetime (e.g.
physically effects with their appearance, aggression)
Stories about people whose lives have been ruined by either drugs or
alcohol. (either their own consumption or someone close to them)
Interviews with people who are addicted to drugs and what their lives
are like (Use of dark lighting to create a shadow to darken out their
faces)
Talk about the individual effects of Heroin, Cocaine, Methamphetamine
and Krokodil
Statistics on the deaths of teenagers aged 14-18 over the past 2 years
due to alcohol and drugs

There will be a set team for choosing the interviewees for this production for
you but the layout is up to you to decide on with your own creativity.
The production must be completed by the 2
nd
of November for a test screening
with the final production being ready to be first aired on the 2
nd
of December.
