ME STARTING

Make sure air compressor is switched on at switchboard (extreme left of

board).
Open three v/vs on upper big air bottle.
Start s/by ME lube oil p/p port side fwd bulkhead and s/by g/box p/p stbd aft
bulkhead on HAND.
Open fuel v/v to ME stbd side about half way along engine just below the
plates.
Open starting air to engine (large cock on vertical pipe stbd side of ER near No1
genr panel)
Push green ME start button on engine to right of instrument panel.
When engine starts, shut air v/v to engine, and switch both s/by p/ps to auto.

ME STOPPING

When engine is de-clutched push stop button next to alarm panel on fwd
bulkhead upper deck level.
When engine stops, switch s/by p/ps to off and close fuel v/v to engine, accept
alarms (left button at bottom of alarm panel) and after about 10 minutes
accept FO press alarm on ME alarm panel to left of main alarm panel.
