The Human Rights Day is supposed to be a day that brings attention
in all nations to the human rights for a day as an achievement for
the people.

2. Why is the United Nations concerned? In other words, why is
this a global issue?
This is a global issue because every nation and people want the
human rights to be able to have justification. And not to have
discrimination, in order to have equal human rights. Also to promote
and protect of all human rights

3. What steps has the U.N. taken (or plans to take) to address this
issue?
They created the mandate of high commissioner to promote and
protect the human rights on December 10th.
