The 5th avenue divides Manhattan Street addresses

into
east and west . Avenues between The Hudson river
and Fifth Avenue are west of Fifth Avenue; other
avenues are east
 Street addresses increase by
100 for each numbered avenue
as you move away from Fifth
Avenue.
