Mindfulness
The term Mindfulness has multiple meanings. It can mean maintaining a current
awareness of thoughts, feelings, and surroundings. Also, mindfulness is rooted in Buddhist
meditation and the Buddhist term Sammasati means Right Mindfulness or the active and
watchful mind. Mindfulness is good for our bodies by helping us boost our immune systems
and help fight of sicknesses. It is also good for our minds because it helps us reduce stress and
negative emotions. Mindfulness also helps us focus, enhance relationships, and even veterans
because it can help reduce symptoms of PTSD.
