Presto Advanced router recovery procedure

Materials :
1 cruciform screwdriver
1 cable RS232 DB9 RJ45

The procedure described below is used when router is unable to boot. That
usually means that some error occurred in firmware upgrade process. As
neither user interface is reachable router can be recovered only after this
few simple steps. Complete firmware files have to be removed to start
upload process again.
Before starting the procedure router should be plugged off.
Procedure is following:

1 Router case has to be opened first. There are four screws which
hold metal box which has to be removed.

2 After router is opened, jumper marked on the picture below has
to be removed



















3 Router should be connected over serial port to PC. Serial
connection parameters are following:
- Bits per second: 57600
- Data bits: 8
- Parity: None
- Stop bits: 1
- Flow control: None

4 Router is accessed by serial port console

5 Router is plugged in and powered up

6 During router boot, CTRL+C should be pressed several times
until RedBoot> shows up

7 On prompt line following command should be entered
fis create -b 0x800000 -l 0x660000 -f 0x60940000 flashdisk1

8 If any additional question appears y should be entered to
continue

9 Operation is completed when RedBoot> is shown again

10 Removed jumpers should be returned

11 Router should be rebooted and page for firmware upload is
reachable over web interface on default IP address 192.168.1.1
