Description of how to implement in the class: Students will be interpreting collaborations of
data on charts and pie graphs, then using Graph Club to create their own graphs.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): The LoTi level of this activity is at the integration
stage because the students will go on to make their own graph using this Graph Club software.
Description of the sample spreadsheet and graph/chart provided *: Our class graph will be
representing the ways that the student get to school. I will do a quick lesson on chart making and
comprehension. We will then, as a class, create a chart of methods used to get to school. Then each
student will go up and mark a tally next to the method they use, then as a class we will construct a
pie graph showing the methods. We will analyze the data, as well as, compare and contrast them. I
will then instruct the students to go out and create their own chart and pie graph, using a template
I provide, and concerning what they choose.

Other comments about your proposed spreadsheet/graph/chart activity: Anything else you
want to say. If you are using/adapting another persons lesson, cite the original source.
