Wonders Review Vocabulary

1. characters- at the beginning


of a play tells who the characters are.
2. setting- where and when the play
takes place.
3. dialogue- lines of text the characters
speak in the play.
4. stage Directions - tell the actors what
to do.
5. script- The special form that a play is
written in.
6. narrator- gives the audience
information about what is happening
in the play
7. routine- a fixed way or method of
doing something.
8. acts/scenes- The play is usually
divided into parts

Wonders Review Skills

Genre: Drama- a story that is
acted out in front of people or an
audience. A drama can be a play,
a puppet show, a song, or a dance
story that a person on a stage
performs for a group of people.
Skill: Problem & Solution: The
main character in a story usually
has a problem that needs to be
solved. The steps the character
takes to solve the problem make
up the storys events, the plot of
the story.
Strategy: Make Predictions:
When you read, use story details
to make predictions about what will
happen.
Vocabulary Strategy: Suffixes: A
word part added to the end of a
word to change its meaning.

Communication:
Remember: Yearbooks are $22
and you may order them
online or by bringing in your
yearbook order form.
