During that time, the

place was a forested

area. There were so
many black wild pigs in
the area. As the year
passed through, hard
labor of inhabitants
became riceland.
Geographically, Cangisitan is located
under the municipality of Luna. It is
bounded San Francisco on the north,
Malunog river on the east, Dagupan
on the south and main canal of
irrigation on the west. It is
approximately 8 km away from the
main Health Center.
As the weather bureau land is
classified under the type 3
climate relatively dry seasons
occurs from the month of
March to september , while
the rest of the year is
generally wet heaviest rain is
observe during the month of
October to January.
The remaining halves of Sitio
Cangisitan on the southern
side was also merged with
Sitio Malunog Bassit and also
named it to Barangay
Sebastian in his honor.

The barangay is aid to be one
of the food bowl of the
province especially corn.The
total land area is
approximately 340,500
hectares.
In the year 1978, Barangay San
Sebastian was divided into two
(2) separate barangay.Sitio
Cangisitan was was renamed to
San jose and the former Malunog
Bassit retained the named
Barangay San Sebastian and the
late Justiniano Alonzo became
the first elected Barangay
Captain.
