1.TheDistanceFacial Expression andStandPose
BeforeStart
1)Therecommendeddistance:
The recommended distance between person
and device is 0.5m (applied to height range
1.5~1.85m). According to the obtained face
image from device to adjust, when the face
image is comparatively bright, please move
backwardsappropriately whenthefaceimage
is comparatively dark, please move forwards
appropriately.

2FaceEnrollmentPose
During the enrollment, display the face in the centre of screen as possible.
According to the devices voice prompts, do some smallscope head actions
suchasturnleft,turnright,rise,bowandsoontoensurethatthedifferentparts
of face are input into system to improve the verification accuracy. The
enrollmentposesareasfollows:

Usesteps:
Step1:Putthedeviceintherightplaceandpowerit.
Step2:Enrolluser,fingerprint(orpassword),andallocateaccess.
Step3:Verifyuser(whetherfingerprintorpasswordisusable).
Step 4: Set communication parameters. Use any one of the three methods
(Ethernet, RS485 and RS232) or U disk to download employee
informationtothesoftware.
Step5: Modify employeeinformationinemployee maintenanceofsoftware,
and connect device to upload employee information to the device,
then personnels name will be displayed on the screen upon
attendance. Somemodelsallowsdirectnameeditiononthedevice.
Therefore,itisnonecessarytoconnectdevice.
Step 6: Check whether the device time is accurate. After validation, start
attendance.
Step 7: Download attendance record to software upon stat. at the end of the
month.
When the device is on initial interface, only after successful fingerprint or
passwordverification,canusersaveattendancerecordonthedevice.

current selected state is displayed in orange. Press ESC, the prompt
information will disappear. Refer to 4.4 keyboard definition for default state
keydefinition.

(1) Enterfaceattendance
The default attendance method is fingerprint attendance, so you need to use
shortcutstoswitchintofaceattendancemodel.Theshortcutsrelatedwithface
attendance are: face recognition, 1:1 face recognition, 1:G face recognition,
face group one, face grouptwo, face groupthree, face groupfour, facegroup
five.Pleasesetshortcutsbeforefaceattendance,specificoperationpleasesee
4.4.1Setshortcut definition.
Sept1:Ontheinitialinterfacepress[facerecognition]shortcutstogetintoface
recognition interface, the default current group includes two situations: the
current group is the default group 1 after startup, or for last face recognition
groupnumber.
Sept 2: Press relevant shortcuts directly to switch to other group, 1:1 face
recognition or 1:G face recognition. For shortcuts can only be set for 15
groups,ifyouneedtoswitchtothegroupwhosenumberexceeded5,youmust
enter the 1: G face recognition model and then input corresponding group
numberforattendance.Iftheaboveoperationsarenotneeded,pleaseseestep

Verifycurrentfacialcollectedthroughthe facialcollectorwithallfacedatain
thefacialcollector.
Sept 1: Press the shortcut for 1:G face recognition on initial interface to get
into the interface for group input, or press shortcut directly to get into
correspondingidentificationgroup.
Sept 2: Enter user Group No. and then press OK to enter 1:G fingerprint
recognitionmode,asshownbellow:

(3) 1:1face verification
In the 1:1 facial verification mode, the terminal compares current facial
collectedthroughthefacialcollectorwiththatinrelationtotheuserIDentered
through keyboard. Adopt this mode only when it is difficult to recognize the
facial.

l CardAttendance
Compare the current card number sensed in the sensing area with all card
numbersregisteredinthedevice.
Step1:Swipethecardinthesensingarea,andthenmovethecardifthecardis
sensedsuccessfully.
Step 2: When the device prompts " Thank you ", it indicates that the
authenticationiscomplete.
Step3:Ifthecardhasnotregisteredyet,promptthatcardisnotregistered

After personnels access control privilege is set, when employee is verifying
hisID,the devicewilljudgewhetherthe employee hastheaccessto openthe
door.Iftheemployeecannotopenthedoor,thedevicewillgivecorresponding
information.Takefingerprintverificationforexample:

This means the group where employee is is not in the unlock combination.

4. Thedevicepromptsmultiuserverification.

Thismeansitneedsthecommonverificationofsubgroupwheretheuserisand
othersubgroupstoopenthedoor.
5. Thedevicepromptscombinedverification.
This means the users verification method or groups verification method is
combinedverification.ItneedsmultiverificationtoverifyID.
JNotice:Whenthedevice supportadvanced accesscontrol,itcannot
supportexternalfacecollectoratthesametime.

The device only records attendance time. The statement can be disposed by
software on PC. Therefore, it is necessary for device to connect PC to
downloadattendancerecordtoattendancesoftware.

2Usermanagement
The users basic information on fingerprint sensor includes fingerprint,
password, facial and management access. In companys attendance
management, for employees change, the information on fingerprint
sensor also needs modification. Therefore, operations including add,
delete,check,modifyandsooncanbedoneonfingerprintsensor.
2.1 Adduser
Firstly,enrollemployeesfingerprint,passwordorfacialinthedevice.
When the device support external face collector, it cannot support
cameraandadvancedaccesscontrolatthesametime.Sotherearetwo
situationswhenenteradduserinterface.

Name:useT9inputtoinputemployeesname.
Fingerprint: enroll employees fingerprint. Ten fingerprints can be
enrolledatmost.
The employee with fingerprint enrolled can use fingerprint to record
attendance.

Enrollpassword:enrolluserspassword.Theeffectivedigitis18.
The employee with password enrolled can use password to record
attendance.
Enrollfacial:enrollusersface.
Group:Settheusersgroup.Theeffectivedigitis124.
Access: allocate user access to operate menu. Common user can only
use fingerprint or password attendance. Administrator can
enter menu to do various operations and carry out daily
attendanceascommonuseraswell.
Takephoto:adjustvideosettingtotakephotosandenrollusersphoto.
Photo mode: it is the photo mode used during recording employee
attendance.
KNotice:1) Ifthereisnoadministratorset,anybodycanenter
menu for operation. If there is administrator, it is necessary to verify
IDtoentermenu.
2) Device automatically assign group number for users,
the default group is number 1. It will postpone group number at full
strength.Group1canregister100users,othergroups can onlyregister
50users.

Input password (18) according to devices prompt, and press OK to
verifyit.ThenpressOKsaveitorpressESCtoexitwithoutsavingit.

After saving, display will be on the device, which means the
passwordhasbeenset.
EnrollCard
Press/toselectenrollcardandpressOKtoenrollcard.
Swipethecardinthesensingareauntilthecard numberisreadbythe
devicesuccessfully.ThenpressOKsaveitorpressESCtoexitwithout
savingit.Theregisterednumbersaredisplayedinthetextbox.
EnrollFace
Press / to select enroll face and press OK to enter enroll face
interface,asshownbelow:
Onthedisplayedfaceenrollmentinterface,turnyourheadtotheleftand
rightslightly,raiseandloweryourheadaccordingtothevoiceprompts,
soasto enrolldifferent partsof your faceintothesystemtoassurethe
accurate verification. See The Distance, Facial Expression and
StandPose.
Ifyourfaceimageisenrolledsuccessfully,thesystemwillautomatically
return to the Add User interface and show the face icon beside the
enrollfacebottom,asshownbellow:

Setaccess
Press/toselectaccessboxandpress / toselectaccess.
Photomode
Press/toselecttheitem,andthenpress / tosetphotomode.
There are four modes. The setting here is aimed at current employee.
Employeesphotomodeforattendancerecordisbasedonthissetting.
(1)Useoverallsetting: the employee observesthephoto
modesetting.
(2) No photo taken: there is no photo taken after
attendancerecord.
(3) Take photo: the taken photo wont be saved after
attendancerecord.
(4)Takephotoandsaveit:thetakenphotoissavedafter
attendancerecord.
Takephoto
Press/toselectcapture,andthenpressOKtoadjustvideo
settingandtakephotos.

Afterenteringinterface,the deviceis undergrasp mode. Press/to
switchoptioninputbox.Pressnumericalkeyonsmallkeyboardtoinput
correctvaluetoadjustthecamerastakingeffect.Afteradjustment,press
F8 or OK to grasp photo. Then the system will remind you that the
photoissavedsuccessfullyandaskyouwhethertotake itagainornot.
Ifyouaresatisfiedwiththephoto,pressreturn.OryoucanpressOK
totakephotoagain.
Save/exituserenrollment
Makesurethattheenrolledinformationiscorrect,andthensaveit.
1Press menu or / to select complete and press
OK,and the device will prompt saved successfully
Continue?. If you want to continue, press OK,or press
ESC.
2Press ESC or / to select returnESC and then
pressOK,andthe device will promptdatahasbeen changed.
Are you sure to save?. If you want to save it, press OK and

2.2 Manageuser
All users information saved in the current device can be queried in
manageuser,includingusername, fingerprint count,whetherto enroll
password,userattendancerecordandsoon.Editingordeletingusercan
alsobedonehere.
JNotice:1 means this employee is the administrator.
means password has been enrolled. means face has
beenenrolled.

Pressmenuontheaboveinterface,andtheoperatingmenuwillpopout:

In large capacity fingerprint, it directly displays "Search User"
interfaceafterpressing"Manageuser ".
2.2.1Searchuser
If many users are enrolled, in order to find an employee quickly, the
devicehasprovidedUserIDtosearchtheemployee.
Press menu on manage user interface to get operating menu. Select
Searchuserorpressanynumerickeytoenterthefollowingpage:

Input User ID of employee to be queried. Press OK, after successful
query, the blue cursor will point to the employee. If there is no such
employee,noenrolleddatawillappear.
Inlargecapacityfingerprint,itdirectlydisplays"SearchUser"interface
afterpressing "Manageuser",asshownfollows:
InputUserIDornameofemployeetobequeried.PressOK,after
successfulquery itwillshowtheoperatingmenu.Ifthereisnosuch
employee,no registrationdatawillappear.

JNotice:YoucaninputuserIDorusernameseparatelytosearch
user.ButifyouwanttosearchaemployeebyuserIDand
user name, make sure that the ID and name belong to the
sameemployee,oritwillprompt"Noregistrationdata!".
2.2.2Queryattendance
When administrator is checking employees fingerprint and other
enrolled information, he can also check the employees attendance
recordduringthatmonth.
Pressmenuonmanageuserinterfacetogettheoperatingmenu,select
record,andtheemployeesmonthlyattendancerecordcanbechecked:

2.2.3Edituser
Edit user information saved in the device. For example, the former
enrolled fingerprints are unusable, enter edit user to reenroll
fingerprintorenrollpassword.
Use/orquery useronmanage userinterfacetoselectemployee
to be edited. Then press menu to select edit or press shortcut to
verifyit,andallenrolledinformationcanbedisplayedonthedevice.

2.2.4Deleteuser
Delete user is to delete employees partial information or all
information from the device. It is used when the following states
happen:

more.

Therearetwosituations:

2.2.5Adduser
In order to add user conveniently for operator, add user is configured

2.2.6Useraccesscontrol
Press / on manage user interface or use query user to select the
employee to be edited. Click menu to get operating menu, and then
selectuseraccesscontrol.

Sometimes, some illegal person follows the employee into the gate,

This function needs two machines to work together. One is installed
inside the door (master machine hereinafter), the other is installed
outside the door (slave machine hereinafter). Wigand signal
