I. Effects of Latitude and Climate
Weather is the condition of the atmosphere at a specific place or time.
Weather and community variation are driven by global difference in latitude in climatic
conditions
A. Latitude
The distant of any point on the surfaces of the earth north or south of the
equator is latitude.
Light from the sun strikes the earth more directly from the equator then
the poles.
B. Climate
The average weather conditions in an area including temperature and
precipitation describes the area climate.
Plants and animals have adapted to the climate of their biomes. Even
small changes in temperature and precipitation can affect them.
