It develops advanced algebra skills such as systems of equations, advanced polynomials, imaginary and complex numbers, quadratics, and concepts and includes the study of trigonometric functions. It also introduces matrices and their properties. The content of this course are important for students success on both the ACT and college mathematics entrance exams.
Textbook: Pearson Algebra 2 Common Core Edition 2012
Grading Scale: Grades will be assigned in accordance with district policy. Daily assignments, in-class projects, quizzes and tests will be used to determine grades.
A - 90%-100%, B 80%-89%, C 70%-79%, D 60%-69%, F 59% or less
Homework Policy: Students will be given daily assignments to enable skills practice. Except in the case of absences, for each day late, an assignment will drop ten percentage points. Assignments that are four or more days late will be assigned no points.
