Questions for Wednesday, Sept 17:

1. Who is the protagonist in your story? Find a description of the protagonist in
the novel. (Use your sticky notes to keep track).

2. Who is the antagonist? Find a description of the antagonist in the novel. (Again,
use your sticky notes to keep track).

3. What is the problem in the story? (Short term, long term)

4. Find an example of a compound sentence in your novel. (Mark it with a sticky
note).




Remember, as you read your novel use sticky notes to help you to keep
track the following:
(You will be given time to discuss these and other questions with your novel
study group.)


Find at least ten words (throughout the whole book) of which you are not sure of
the exact meaning.

1. Write down the sentence and underline the word.
2. Write what you think the word means.
3. Look up the exact meaning.
4. Write what you think the word means in the context found.
5. Write your own sentence using this word.


(You may choose some words that are "made-up words.")
