POST DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP COURSE
IN MINIMAL ACCESS SURGERY

The Minimal Access Surgery Unit is functioning at Madras Medical College
& Govt. General Hospital, Chennai and is doing Minimal Access Surgeries like
Appendicectomy, Cholecystectomy, Adhesiolysis, Ovarian Cystectomy, Diagnostic
Laparoscopy, Hernia Repair, Orchiopexy, Varicocelectomy and Solid Organ
Removal etc., and patients undergoing Minimal Access Surgery experience less
pain, have shorter hospital stay, better wound results and return to work early.
The Post-doctoral Fellowship Course in Minimal Access Surgery for 2
candidates for the year 2014 is to be started at Madras Medical College &
Government General Hospital, Chennai and a Government order for the same
has been issued. The course is accredited by the TamilNadu Dr.MGR Medical
University, Chennai.
Candidates will be selected for the course by appearing through an
Entrance examination. Among the two candidates one will be from service
category and another will be from non service category.

the Madras Medical College website (www.mmc.tn.gov.in). The Dean of Madras
Medical College Dr.R. Vimala informed that the details about the examination will
be announced shortly through an advertisement in newspapers.
