How do we handle

crisis at school???
LOCK DOWN
Students in the hallway- go to the closest classroom.
Students in the bathroom- stay in the bathroom, lock yourself in a stall and
keep feet on top of the toilet.
Students outside- hurry to the closest classroom
Students on the stage/in the gym- report to the locker rooms
Student at lunch- go to the kitchen in the cafeteria
NO talking is allowed!!!!!

All classrooms will be locked.
Role will be taken.
All lights will be turned off.
Students should proceed to the least visible and most protected
area in the classroom and sit quietly.

Each student should have a book with them.
Partial Lockdown
Your teacher will lock the door and close all window
blind

Students will remain inside the buildings.

Class will go on as normal.

If student has class outside of the building (gym,
band), you will not be allowed to leave the class you
are currently attending.

When partial lockdown is over, an announcement
will be given over the intercom.
Shelter in Place
If you are indoors:
All doors must stay closed.
Remain indoors in your classroom until an
ALL CLEAR has been issued by the front
office.

If you are out doors:
Students go indoors.
Close all windows and doors.
Remain indoors until your classroom hears
an ALL CLEAR has been issued by the front
office.

Evacuate Building
If indoors:
Students leave all belongings in room.
Your teacher will bring their roll book
to keep count of you.
Heavy smoke- students/Teachers
crawl on hands/knees
Diminished visibility- form line & hold
hands
Bomb Threat- DO NOT USE CELL
PHONES

If smoke is outside your doorway,
dont open the door, use the window
in your classroom.
Evacuate to Alternate Site
1. Students stay with your teacher and follow him/her
to the bus.

2. Walk single file down the sidewalk without talking.

3. Students will be brought to the Leroy Church.

4. Your teacher will tell you where to sit and call roll to
make sure all are accounted for.

5. Remain calm and wait to be picked up by your
parent or guardian.
