Pica is a eating disorder, of the
Children.

The word pica comes from the
Latin word for magpie, a bird
known for its large and
indiscriminate appetite.

Between 10% and 30% of children
ages 1 to 6 have the eating
disorder pica, which is
characterized by persistent and
compulsive cravings (1 month or
longer) to eat nonfood items.

therapy, typically
demonstrated in children
as learning negative
associations with eating
things that arent food
and positive associations
with healthy eating habits
