HOPES AND DREAMS DAY: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24

At the heart of our philosophy is a commitment to consistent communication between
parents, children and teachers for the beneft of student learning and growth !opes
and Dreams Day is our frst opportunity of the year to culti"ate this wonderful
relationship Hopes and Dreams mar#s the beginning of parental engagement for the
new academic year $his day helps us gain a better understanding of your child as we
begin the year, allows our students to enhance their ability to re%ect on the learning
they do each day and pro"ides parents with an opportunity to engage in meaningful
discussion with their child about who they are as a learner $his is a time for you and
your child to share with the teacher all that ma#es your son or daughter the special
person that they are

there will be no l!""e" #or "t$%ent" 'nclosed are two forms that we as# you to
complete with your child before the 24
th
$he Student (orm will help your child re%ect
on their e)periences to date and communicate their hopes and dreams for the year
$he Parent Sur"ey will pro"ide us with insight as to how you "iew your child as a
learner Please remember to gi"e these completed forms to the teacher or bring them
with you on &ednesday
Specialist teachers in the areas of Arabic, *slamic, +usic, Art, Physical 'ducation,
+o"ement and +usic, ',,, ,earning Support, the counselors and *$ will also be
a"ailable for brief meetings $hese teachers are eager to meet you so please do drop
by their classrooms or contact them directly to schedule a meeting
Parents ha"e been allotted 1- minute time slots which you can sign up for outside your
child.s classroom or email the teacher &e reali/e that this is a "ery short time for you
to share e"erything that you would li#e, but we as# that you please try to stay within
the schedule so that teachers can meet with e"eryone e0uitably Should you re0uire
additional time1 a separate appointment can be scheduled with your child.s teacher
