1. If the PC/Laptop is already installed with any Teracom 3G 3.6/7.2 Mbps USB Data card
software,unistallitfirst,toavoidmismatch.
2. After unisatllation, connect the 3G 3.6/7.2 Mbps USB Data card in the PC/Laptops USB
port.
3. The BSNL 3G 3.6/7.2 Mbps DATA CARD is normally a plug & play device and gets
installedautomaticallyinanyWindowsOperatingSystem.
4. If the autorun program does not respond, check whether Plug and Play is in
Automatic status in the Startup Type of Services in the Computer Management.

5. The BSNL official/User who handles/uses the data card is advised to wait for the full
automatic installation procedure of the data card to complete. For example, the final
screenforacorrectinstallationlookslikethis:

If the installation procedure is not complete and if the message A problem occurred
during hardware installation. Your new hardware may not work properly, it is advised to
uninstallthesoftwareandreinstalluntilthesoftwareofthedatacardisinstalledproperlyas

6.FortheuserwhousesLANbasedInternetconnectionalsoasalternateconnection:
When the installation is complete, but there is no connection to Internet when using
Internet Explorer or any other browser, please check whether the proxy settings of LAN
connectionisdisbledasfollows:

7.EnablingAudioDriverofPC:
To enable the Audio Driver of the PC when data card is installed, click the Audio
DevicebuttonintheSettingswindowofGUIonce.

8.WorkingofDatacardinPC/LaptopwithAntivirus:
When a PC/Laptop is having Antivirus, ensure that it does not block the Internet
traffic.Foreg.,iftheNetworkThreatProtectionisenabledinSymantecEndpointProtection
Antivirus,thenitwillblocktheInternetTraffic.Eitherdisablethefeatureordeselectduring
customizedinstallation,asdoneforanymeansofInternetconnectivity.

9.NewSoftwarePatch:
A new software patch is provided to overcome the problem of using both Qualcomm
andEricssonchipsetbasedDatacardsinthesamePC/Laptopafresh.
Aspertheinformation/solutiongivenbyM/s.Teracomasofnow:

Thesoftwarepatchisof32.5MBsizeandneedstobeloadedtotheolddatacardusing
QPSTTool.ThesolutionforloadingwillbegivenbyM/s.Teracom.

ThesoftwareinstalledfromolddatacardshastoberemovedfromthePC/Laptop.The
new software from the data card has to be installed in the PC/Laptop afresh to make both
QualcommandEricssonChipsetsbasedDatacardstoworkinthesamePC/Laptop.

The new software installs the drivers for Qualcomm and Ericsson Chipsets separately,
wheneverusedinthePC/Laptopforthefirsttime.Therespectivedriverisselectedwhenthe
respectiveDatacardisusedagain,thusworkswithoutclashing.
