Thank you to all the K2 parents for coming to our
conferences on Wednesday. It was wonderful to
see you all and have time to talk about our goals
for your child for this school year. We
appreciated your comments and enjoyed being
able to hear directly from our parents how they
are feeling about K2.

Last week in K2 we met Harry Hat Man in
Letterland. K2Y had fun making newspaper hats
and chef hats. In mathematics we are focusing
on the numbers 1 to 5 and doing lots of counting
and grouping. We continue to enjoy stories in
many forms and are thinking about how the
characters in stories feel.

Mathematics: Numbers: Beginning to recognise the
numbers 1-5. Singing number songs, tracing and
copying numbers, reviewing shapes
Creative Art: Studying Wheres My Teddy? and
making bear masks
PE: Cooperative Games
Music: Changing the story "Goldilocks and 3 bears" to
the 3 tapping bears / drums and musical games
Putonghua: Students will be encouraged to say a
sentence in Chinese: I like (which story or which
character in the story) / Students will choose their
favourite character puppet to tell a story to their
partners.

Hats please send a labelled hat to school for
your child to wear outside. Hats are
sent home every Friday for washing
Sunscreen please sunscreen your child before
he or she comes to school. If you
would like to send a bottle of
sunscreen to school we will help your
child to apply it before outdoor play.
Mosquito repellent we recommend you send
some repellent to school.
Shoes please remember to send some shoes for
your child to change into when
coming into the classroom.
Bus changes Please let us know in your
communication book and / or by
email if you want to change the bus or
pick up your child from school
