Why he was famous:

Joseph was the creator
of moving illusion and
moving images. He was
a Belgium man and

achievement in 1832

WILLIAM HORNER
When They Started Out:

William became
famous in 1833 after
creating a massive
invention called the
Zoetrope. This was a
huge advance in
media and allowed
new productions to
take place.

MILE REYNAUD
When They Started Out:

Emile started producing
animation cartoons, and also
created the Praxinoscope in
1877. This was the invention
which allowed him to create
these cartoons.

EDWARD MUYBRIDGE
When They Started Off:

was an English photographer
important for his pioneering
work in photographic studies
of motion. He started his
experiment in 1878 of a horse
running then became famous
in 1879 after putting his
photos together to produce
the moving horse image.
THOMAS EDISON
When they started out:

was an American inventor and
businessman. He developed
many devices that greatly
influenced life around the
world, including the
phonograph, the motion
picture camera, and a long-
lasting, practical electric light
bulb. He also invented the
Kinetoscope.

AUGUSTE AND LOUIS LUMIRE
When they started out:

The lumerie brothers where
the first to produce a full
moving image piece of
footage in 1864
GEORGE PAL
George Pal was a Hungarian-born
American animator and film
producer, principally associated with
the science fiction genre. He
became an American citizen after
emigrating from Europe. he made
many films for example tom thumb
which was one of his most famous.
