This Month in History


September 5, 1774 - The First Continental Congress assembled in Philadelphia with 56 delegates, representing every
colony, except Georgia. Attendants included Patrick Henry, George Washington, Sam Adams and John Hancock.
September 11, 2001 - The worst terrorist attack in U.S. history occurred as four large passenger jets were hijacked then
crashed, killing nearly 3,000 persons.
Reminders!
Please remember your items for our International Peace Day party on Monday, September 22! You each were
assigned specific items in class to bring. Have fun and prepare to have a discussion about the development of peace
in our world the possibility of decline and what we can do about it! Parents: If you would like to volunteer please get
in touch with me and we can arrange an opportunity for you to help out in the classroom!

Unit Test on 9/25
Our first unit test will cover chapters 1-4.
Test will be 40 questions and include an
essay portion.
Review vocab worksheets, review
questions at the end of each chapter, and
come to me with questions!
Extra credit review session on 9/24 at
7:30am!

A Note From Our Principle I am so excited to begin this new year with each of our students and am
looking forward to a safe and productive year! I truly believe the successes we have had in our school district are
due to the hard work and dedication of our staff and parents in support of the children of our
community. Therefore, please feel free to come to me with any comments, questions, or concerns and together we
will make this year the best weve ever had! I look forward to seeing you at the Meet the Principle breakfast on
September 24
th
at 7:30am!

Back to School Night! Wednesday, September 10 all parents are
invited to attend the annual Parents Night at 7pm. You will begin
in your childs homeroom and then have an opportunity to follow
their schedule and meet their teachers!

School News:
Parking: Only juniors and seniors are allowed to apply for a parking spot
due to accommodation issues! Spots marked FACULTY are for Faculty
and Staff only. Respect the visitor spots and ONLY park there is you are a
visitor to our campus!
