Where does the time go? The seasons are changing already. The kids have gone
back to school. The stores are full of Halloween, and even Christmas! I am sure that
time moves faster as I get older. For quilters this is when we put our nose to the
grindstone. It's time to get those projects you had planned for last years gifts out and
get going.

It's also time to get those paint chips out and finally decide what you are going to
make for your challenge. Our November meeting will be devoted to viewing and vot-
ing on the gorgeous quilts you create. I'm looking forward to seeing them.

NAME THE NEWSLETTER CONTEST: We had 14 entries for our Name the Newsletter Contest. Our
winner will be announced tonight!
GUILD BLOCK FOR THE QUILT TRAIL: Charles Powell is working on our guild block. It has been framed
and primed. We will plan a celebration when the block is scheduled to be hung at the library.
ANN DICKERSON MEMORIAL BOOK: Georgia Darnell pur-
chased the book Quilts Through the Seasons by Eleanor Burns
which will be placed in the library. The book was purchased
from the Quilt Lizzy.

QUILTS: Debbie Powell still
has stacks of quilt squares
available if anyone is inter-
ested in taking some and putting them
together for our charity efforts.

PILLOW CASES: Faith has issued a
challenge to all guild members to make
a pillow case for delivery to the Ronald
McDonald House. So far she has de-
livered 40 pillow cases. The pillow cases are of-
ten used to carry belongings
home.
