UNNAMED BOARD GAME PROJECT

BRAINSTORMING DAY 2
September 17, 2014
Story: Civil war breaks out in your continent, you either conquer or get conquered
Set in a fantasy medieval period with wyverns and one unnamed wrathful god
Two parts
o One: build your army using the outer board
o Two: use your army to defeat and conquer others
You win by conquering TWO other colors
o Conquering = reaching the castle piece
After conquest, army that wins replenishes HALF of the army lost in
battle, gains the conquered castle and controls any of the
remaining opposing colors
Player that controls the losing color is out of the game.
o If two players remain, whatever is left of their armies return to their home
bases and start the final battle.
o Cards are drawn to determine who your main enemy is
o You cannot ally with another color
o Hardcore mode: anyone can declare war with anyone
The challenge is to work with what army you have built in order to conquer other
players
Max 4 players = 4 colors: RED, BLUE, YELLOW, WHITE (dark hues)
Combines Monopoly outside board with checkers inside board
Chance game with strategy elements
Includes dice and pieces
o 1 dice
o 4 x 1 castle pieces
o 4 x 1 wyvern pieces
Can move 3 squares any direction
Can defeat an enemy 4 squares away
o 4 x 2 knight commanders
Can move 2 squares any direction
Can defeat an enemy 3 squares away
o 4 x 6 archers
Can move 1 square any direction
Can defeat an enemy 2squares away
o 4 x 16 foot warriors
Can move 1 square any direction
Can defeat an enemy in the next square
o All pieces only have one life
o Defeating = same as checkers, you take the spot of the enemy you just
defeated
Potential name WARRIORS AND WYVERNS

Monopoly centers on building your army in order to set up for the conquering part
(checkers/chess parts)
o 40 sections in board for part 1

Last color standing wins the game
o Conquering = reaching the castle piece
After conquest, army that wins gains the conquered castle and
controls any of the remaining opposing colors
Losing color loses the game
The challenge is to work with what army you have built in order to conquer other
players
Max 4 players = 4 colors: RED, BLUE, YELLOW, WHITE (dark hues)

Requires a warrior to work

Use two BATTLE CARDS for one turn.

You can move 2 friendly pieces for one turn.

Pull 2 pieces back to your castle area.
