Interview in Embassy

By UmairLatif, HabibRehman and ArshadIqbal in Study & Life in Germany ( For Pakistani
Students and Community) Edit doc

Interview Done today! here is a brief account on "my day at embassy".
:)The day started at the Shuttle bus service stop which is now situated at
the Bara Kahu - Murree Rd. You have to submit all your belongings at this
point especially mobile phones. They charge Rs. 200 for economy and 500
for express service. (I don't know the difference as I was guided to the 500
wali)The bus drops at the embassy and on your turn you will be inside the
Embassy area. There you should be called upon and your token number
will be displayed at the respective counter.
Interview is just like you are buying a ticket at the railway station. The
interview wala/wali is behind the glass wall and speaks in mic, you answers
the question in the mic on your side. They take all the docs and it will be
better that you arrange them before hand. Ask the foto copier in the
lounge to arrange them in sequence. He also takes the American Express
courier fee (500/-).
*Do not attach any pins or paper clips to the docs. just put them
in order one by one.

Interview was quite simple, they ask what you have mentioned in the
forms and about your docs. Be sure to answer according to your
documents. In my case following questions were asked:-
Introduce yourself
- In which course you are going?
- Why you're not studying it in Pakistan - OR is it offered in Pakistan?
- Why you choose Germany for studies? why you choose this particular
University?
- What is the scope of your degree in Pakistan after completing it?
- Who will finance you?
- What does your father do?
- Siblings? - What do they do?
- Do you have any relatives living abroad?
- Then questions from your documents... like,
- When did you done your matriculation?
- What's the percentage of your FSc./Inter?
- What's your CGPA?
- What's your IELTS band?
- etc.
I guess that's it for the interview. The they will give you the Visa fee slip to
submit the fee in Standard Chartered Bank, Diplomatic Enclave branch
which is a few blocks away from embassy.(60 Euro in PKR + the bank
charges which are about 400+)
That's ALL! :)
