Our next GL Business Club Event will focus on restrictive covenants in contracts of employment
what they should cover, what is legally enforceable and what you can do if someone tries to
breach them.
The event will take place on Thursday 16 October 2014 between 8.00am and 9.30am and we
look forward to seeing you at the new venue of Bordeaux Quay, Canons Road, Bristol BS1 5UH
just on the waterside.
No one wants to think that their employees will try to set up business in competition with them, taking all of
their clients and contacts as well as knowledge they have gained during their employment. So what can you
do to try to stop this? Harriet Broughton, from our Employment team, will consider how you can minimise
the risk of this happening to you by ensuring that the restrictive covenants contained in your contracts are as
watertight as possible. Ken McEwan, from our Litigation team, will then consider what you can do if your
employee tries to go ahead anyway!
This seminar is for anyone who has employees or consultants working for them who could potentially take
clients or work with them if they left.
