Golden Age
Men lived carefree and harmoniously
with the gods
Food and drink were abundant
Hardship and strife were unknown
Ended when Pandora opened box and
release diseases, evils, and hardships
into the world
Silver Age
Men were less intelligent than those of
the Golden Age
Era of pain, suffering, and great
hardship
Men fought small battles among
themselves
Brass Age
Men grew accustomed to evils
released by Pandora and were a
sturdier stock
Age of brutality
Men banded together and fought many
bloody wars
This era of men almost killed
themselves off
Bronze Age
Greatest heroes of classical mythology
existed during this era
(i.e. Achilles, Hercules, Odysseus, &
Theseus)
Age of greatness and legend
Iron Age
Greek civilization flourished
Age dominated by seductiveness of power
Corrupt age when good was put aside for
personal gain
Good and evil were blurred and confused
***each successive age of man became
more brutal and men lived harsher lives
