Infinitive: The word to plus a verb
Gerund: an ing form of a verb that is used as a noun
*Usually name activities or actions

Underline the gerund.
1.) Swimming is one of my favorite sports.
2.) Higher level math requires a lot of thinking.
3.) Out of all the activities she does, skating is her favorite.
4.) If the baking is not done before 9:00 am, customers get angry.
5.) Juggling is something he does to make us laugh.
6.) Look at her swimming across the pool!
7.) In the above example, why isnt swimming a gerund here?

Underline the infinitive.

Underline the participle.
