SiteSelectionCriteria
Selectioncriteriawereestablishedtoprovideacomprehensiveandquantifiableevaluationof
themultiplevariationsofthesiteoptionsproposedforconsiderationtohousethenew
inpatientandresidentialfacilitiesplannedtoreplacethecurrentVermontStateHospital.These
criteriahavebeenusedtocomparetherelativeviabilityofeachsitetohousetheproposed
facility.Theselectedsiteoptionconsiderstheanticipatedcapitalandoperationalcosts
estimated,aswellasthepotentialrevenuestreamtooffsettheoperationalcoststoprovidethe
mostaffordableandsustainableprogramtoservetheStatesneedsoverthelongterm.
Accordingly,thequalityofcarethatcanbeacquiredalsocarriesweight.
Belowisanitemizedlistofthecriteria,alongwithspecificquestionsthatwereconsideredwhen
evaluatingeachvariationandoption.Aftereachquestionwasanswered,arelativescorewas
