Small Number Challenge

Purpose: Create an EduCreations video on an iPad that demonstrates your

understanding of small numbers down to the thousandths place.

Instructions:

Part 1: Choose a number that has a zero in the place value spot before the
decimal point and three place value points after the decimal
For example: 0. 123
You must represent this number in several ways in your video
Speaking the number out loud (worth 3 marks)
Writing the number in word form (worth 2 marks)
Writing the number in number form (worth 2 marks)
Show your number using base ten blocks (worth 3 marks)
Write the number as a fraction (worth 3 marks)
Explain what you are doing the entire time (worth 2 marks)

Part 2: Create three other numbers that have decimals in them
Order your four different decimals in ascending order (worth 5 marks)
