Informal Lesson Plan
I. Title of Lesson: Electricity

III. Instructional Procedures:
a. Engaging:
The students will be given a table full of materials including Light bulbs,
batteries, alligator clips, and battery holders. The students will be instructed to go
to the table and gather whatever materials the group decides they need in order to
make the light bulb light.
b. Exploring:
During this phase, students will play and work with their materials trying to find a
way to make the bulb light. Once the group has managed to get the bulb to light,
they will then try it with only one wire.
c. Explain:
Once the students have succeeded in getting the light bulb to light up, they will
then share their different ways with the rest of the class. The students will answer
questions such as; how can you explain how the light bulb lit up?
