In Japan its the right thing to do by giving up your seats
in public places to older people, handicaps, and pregnant
women.
Its natural to respect the custom of place when youre
the visitor.
It is also a Japanese custom to think about the people
around and to not be rude to them.

the Kanji from China long ago.

There are different keigo for different subjects
Ex: For Restaurant Use
Its used to create more polite and gives more respect
than normal Keigo.
Kiego are used to create more polite saying for certain
subject/topics.

Ancient Hiragana
Back in Ancient Japan, there was more hiragana then we
have today and this made talking with different part of
country because they might not know the hiragana that
one territory might know.
So they decided to lower the count of hiragana to make
life easier
