Soldering PCBs in a Gravity Oven

A brief explanation
Soldering iron
Solder paste
Too long in oven
(see golden burning around edges)
Not long enough in oven
Sample reflow curve
If you have very small components, the syringe tip may be too large;
use a toothpick and a pair of tweezers to apply the paste and components
You can afford to be a little messy in this step because surface tension will pull
the solder paste onto the pads during heating. However, be careful if you put
too much paste in a certain area, adjacent pads may become soldered together;
if you dont use enough, you may fail to get a solder joint at all
