DirectX:
THE PINK PANTHER requires Microsoft DirectX 8.1 in order to function.
We therefore recommend that you install the latest DirectX 8.1 compatible graphi
cs and sound card drivers.
Windows 2000 / XP:
We recommend that you use drivers supplied by individual manufacturers for their
Windows XP / 2000 products instead of the default drivers installed on your mac
hine and supplied by Microsoft.
Memory:
In order to see the game at its best, we recommend that you have at least 128 MB
RAM.
Compatible applications:
THE PINK PANTHER has been designed to make the best of your system's resources.
We therefore recommend you close all other applications before running the game.
Free hard-disk space:
THE PINK PANTHER requires a minimum of 300 MB free hard-disk space.
Graphics card memory:
THE PINK PANTHER requires a graphics card with a minimum of 8 MB RAM in order to
function. THE PINK PANTHER will not run on a machine whose graphics card has le
ss than 8 MB RAM.

Installing the PINK PANTHER

Insert the PINK PANTHER disk into your CD-ROM / DVD-ROM drive.
If the Autorun function is turned on, the installation program will launch autom
atically. If Autorun is not turned on, use Windows Explorer to browse through th
e CD-ROM's contents and manually open the "setup.exe" file.
If DirectX 8.1 was not already present on your computer at the start of the inst
allation process, you may be required to reboot your computer. In this case, you
can continue the installation process once Windows has restarted. If Autorun is
turned on, simply reinsert your PINK PANTHER CD-ROM, otherwise open Windows Exp
lorer and click on "setup.exe" once more.
Space required
The PINK PANTHER requires about 300 MB of free hard-disk space.

Uninstalling the PINK PANTHER
______________________________
Should you choose to uninstall the PINK PANTHER, the "Data/Save" folder will not
be deleted. You can, however, delete it manually.
If you are having difficulties uninstalling the PINK PANTHER, it may be that you
r Windows Installer is not up to date. In this case, you will be able to update
the Installer by opening the "update" folder on the CD-ROM and double-clicking o
n "update.exe".

Settings

You can set the Sound Effects and Music volume settings in the game's Options Me
nu.
Anti-aliasing:
In THE PINK PANTHER, you can choose to turn anti-aliasing on or off in order to
improve the game's appearance. However, if your computer's specifications are cl
ose to the minimum required specifications, it is recommended that you do not tu
rn this function on, as it may slow down the game's performance.
(Option not available with Geforce 4).

Known problems

* The game will not launch or freezes on a black screen:
You need to install the latest DirectX 8.1 compatible drivers available for your
graphics card.
* nVIDIA Geforce 4 graphics cards:
Problems may occur with the game's videos if the anti-aliasing 2x option is turn
ed on in the graphics card's driver.
This problem can be solved by either turning the anti-aliasing option off or by
setting your driver to anti-aliasing 4x.
Open Start / Settings / Control Panel
Double-click on the "DISPLAY" icon
Click on the "Settings" tab
Now click on the "Advanced" button
Look for the tab with your Card's Name
Now click on the "Other Properties" button
Go to the "3D Anti-aliasing Settings" and
A) Select "Allow applications control the anti-aliasing mode"
or
B) Select "Manually select the anti-aliasing mode" and then select "4x".
* Windows 2000 + nVIDIA Geforce 4 graphics cards:
If running on Windows 2000 SP1, problems may occur or the game may not launch. T
his can be solved by installing Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
* ATI Cards:
Problems may occur and the game may slow down if you do not have the latest Dire
ctX 8.1 compatible ATI drivers.

possible, install the "Reference" drivers provided by the graphics chipset manu

Installation

Insrez le disque de LA PANTHERE ROSE dans le lecteur de CD-ROM / DVD-ROM.
Si la fonction Autoplay est active, le programme d'installation se lance
automatiquement. Si la fonction Autoplay est dsactive, utilisez l'Explorateur
pour naviguer sur le cdrom LA PANTHERE ROSE et lancer manuellement
le programme setup.exe
Si DirextX 8.1 n'tait pas install sur votre ordinateur avant le dbut de l'installat
ion, il
se peut qu'il soit oblig de redmarrer. Dans ce cas, ds le retour sous Windows, veui
llez reprendre la procdure d'installation depuis le point prcdant. L'installation r
eprendra soit en rinsrant votre cdrom si vous disposer de la fonction d'autoplay de
Windows, soit en cliquant de nouveau sur setup.exe depuis l'explorateur.

LA PANTHERE ROSE requiert environ 300 Mo d'espace disque libre.

Dsinstallation

Lorsque le jeu LA PANTHERE ROSE est dsinstall, le rpertoire "data\Save" n'est pas s
upprim. L'utilisateur peut toutefois le supprimer manuellement.
Si vous rencontrer des difficultes lors de la dsintallation, il se peut que vous d
eviez mettre jour le systme d'installation et de dsinstallation de Windows. Dans c
e cas, vous trouverez sur le cdrom, dans le rpertoire "update", le fichier "update.
exe" qui xcutera cette mise jour.

Dans le Menu des Options du jeu, vous pouvez rgler le volume sonore des Effets, a
insi que le volume sonore des Musiques.
Anticrnelage:
Vous pouvez Activez/Dsactivez l'Anticrnelage dans LA PANTHERE ROSE pour amliorer l'
aspect graphique du Jeu. Il est cependant conseill pour les petites configuration
s de ne pas activer cette fonction afin de ne pas ralentir le fonctionnement du
jeu.
( Non disponible sur les Geforce 4 ).

* Le jeu ne se lance pas, ou reste fig sur un cran noir :
Vous devez installer les derniers drivers compatibles DirectX 8.1 pour votre car
te graphique.
* Cartes graphiques nVIDIA Geforce 4 :
Certains problmes graphiques se manifestent dans les videos joues si l'option Anti
acrnelage 2x est active dans les drivers de la carte.
Ce problme peut tre rsolu en dsactivant l'Option Anticrnelage ou en slectionnant l'Ant
icrnelage 4x par le biais des drivers.
Dans Dmarrer->Paramtres->Panneau de Configuration
Selectionnez l'icone "AFFICHAGE"
Cliquez sur l'onglet "Paramtres"
Puis sur le Bouton "Avanc"
Recherchez l'onglet avec le Nom de votre Carte
Puis cliquez sur le Bouton "Autres proprits..."
Dans l'onglet "Paramtres d'anticrnelage 3D"
Slectionnez "Permettre aux applications de contrler le mode d'anticrnelage"
ou
Slectionnez "Slectionner manuellement le mode d'anticrnelage"

Nous avons constat qu'avec Windows 2000 SP1, certains problmes graphiques se manif
estent ou le jeu refuse de se lancer. Techniquement, ce problme peut tre rsolu en i
nstallant le Service Pack 2 de windows 2000.
* Cartes ATI :
Des problmes graphiques, ainsi que des ralentissements sont apparus si vous ne di
sposez pas des derniers pilotes ATI compatible Directx 8.1.

Windows 2000/XP:
Wir empfehlen die Nutzung der vom Hersteller bereitgestellten Treiber fr
Windows XP/2000 (z.B. Treiber, die eine nderung der Benutzerbefehle fr
eine bestimmte Hardware erfordern) an Stelle der von Microsoft bei der

Installation

Legen Sie die CD PINK PANTHER in das CD-/DVD-ROM-Laufwerk ein.
Falls die Autoplay-Funktion aktiviert ist, wird das Installationsprogramm
automatisch gestartet. Falls die Autoplay-Funktion deaktiviert ist, gehen Sie im
Windows-Explorer
auf die CD-ROM PINK PANTHER und starten Sie hier manuell das Programm
setup.exe
Falls DirectX 8.1 nicht bereits vor Beginn der Installation auf dem Computer ins
talliert war,
kann es sein, dass der Computer neu gestartet werden muss. Nehmen Sie in einem s
olchen Fall nach dem Neustart von Windows die Installation am vorangehenden Punk
t wieder auf. Die Installation knnen Sie wieder aufnehmen, indem Sie die CD-ROM e
rneut einlegen, falls die Autoplay-Funktion aktiviert ist bzw. indem Sie erneut
auf die Datei setup.exe im Windows-Explorer im Windows-Explorer klicken.
Speicherplatz
PINK PANTHER belegt etwa 300 MB Festplattenspeicher.

Bei der Deinstallation von PINK PANTHER wird das Verzeichnis "data\Save" nicht g
elscht. Dieses Verzeichnis knnen Sie jedoch manuell lschen.

Ihr Installations- und Deinstallationssystem unter Windows aktualisieren mssen.
Auf der CD-ROM finden Sie im Verzeichnis "update" die Datei "update.exe", mit de
r diese Aktualisierung ausgefhrt werden kann.

ei Mindestkonfigurationen nicht aktiviert werden, um das Spiel nicht zu verlangs

Bestimmte Grafikprobleme treten bei Spielvideos auf, wenn die Option fr zweifache

Dieses Problem knnen Sie lsen, indem Sie die Anti-Aliasing-Funktion deaktivieren o

Whlen Sie das Symbol "Anzeige".

Para jugar a LA PANTERA ROSA es necesario tener instalado DirectX 8.1 de Microso
ft.
Se recomienda instalar los controladores ms recientes de la tarjeta grfica y de so
nido compatibles con DirectX 8.1.
Windows 2000 / XP:
Se recomienda utilizar los controladores distribuidos por el fabricante para Win
dows XP/2000 (por ejemplo, controladores que tengan que ser configurados por el
usuario para el software especfico), en lugar de los controladores que instala Mi
crosoft por defecto al configurar el equipo.
Memoria:
Para obtener un ptimo rendimiento, se recomienda disponer, como mnimo, de 128 MB d
e memoria.
Aplicaciones compatibles:

Instalacin

Inserta el disco de LA PANTERA ROSA en el lector de CD-ROM / DVD-ROM.
Si est activada la funcin de reproduccin automtica, el programa de instalacin se ejec
uta de forma automtica. De lo contrario, utiliza el Explorador para acceder al CD
-ROM de LA PANTERA ROSA y ejecutar de forma manual el programa setup.exe
Si no est instalado DirectX 8.1 antes de comenzar la instalacin, es posible que te
ngas que reiniciar el equipo. En este caso, al volver a cargar Windows, retoma l
a instalacin desde el punto anterior. La instalacin se reanuda al volver a inserta
r el CD-ROM (si est activada la funcin de reproduccin automtica), o bien haciendo cl
ic de nuevo en setup.exe desde el Explorador.
Espacio ocupado
LA PANTERA ROSA necesita en torno a 300 MB de espacio libre en el disco.

Desinstalacin

Al desinstalar el juego LA PANTERA ROSA, no se elimina el directorio "data\Save"
. El usuario puede suprimirlo de forma manual.
Si tienes problemas durante la desinstalacin, tal vez necesites actualizar el sis
tema de instalacin y desinstalacin de Windows. En este caso, inserta el CD-ROM y,
dentro de la carpeta "update", ejecuta el archivo "update.exe" para actualizarlo
.

En el men Opciones del juego puedes regular el volumen de los efectos, as como de
la msica.
Suavizado:
Puedes activar y desactivar el Suavizado en LA PANTERA ROSA para mejorar el aspe
cto grfico del juego. En equipos menos potentes se recomienda no activar esta fun
cin para no ralentizar el funcionamiento del juego.
(No disponible en las Geforce 4).

Resolucin de problemas

* El juego no se ejecuta o se queda fijo sobre un fondo negro:
Debes instalar los controladores ms recientes de la tarjeta grfica compatibles con
DirectX 8.1.
* Tarjetas grficas nVIDIA Geforce 4:
Suelen aparecer problemas con los grficos al jugar con la opcin Suavizado 2x activ
ada en los controladores de la tarjeta.
Para solucionar el problema, desactiva la opcin Suavizado o bien selecciona Suavi
zado 4x mediante el controlador.
En Inicio -> Configuracin -> Panel de control
Selecciona el icono "PANTALLA"
Haz clic en la pestaa "Configuracin"
Despus haz clic en el botn "Avanzada"
Busca la pestaa con el nombre de tu tarjeta
A continuacin haz clic en el botn "Propiedades..."
En la pantalla "Parmetros de suavizado 3D"
Selecciona "Permitir que las aplicaciones controlen el modo de suavizado
"
o bien
Selecciona "Seleccionar manualmente el modo de suavizado"
y "4x"
* Windows 2000 + tarjetas grficas nVIDIA Geforce 4:
Hemos comprobado que con 2000 SP1 surgen algunos problemas con los grficos o bien
no se ejecuta el juego. Tcnicamente, el problema se puede resolver instalando el
Service Pack 2 de Windows 2000.
* Tarjetas ATI:
Si no dispones de los ltimos controladores ATI compatibles Directx 8.1 pueden apa
recer problemas grficos as como un ralentizamiento del juego.

Se recomienda utilizar los controladores ms recientes de la tarjeta grfica. Es pre
ferible instalar los controladores de "Referencia" del fabricante del chipset en
lugar de los controladores personalizados del fabricante de la tarjeta grfica o
de los controladores WHQL certificados de Microsoft.

Vi consigliamo di utilizzare i driver per Windows XP/2000 distribuiti dai produt
tori (ad esempio, i driver necessari al caricamento dei comandi dei componenti s
pecifici), al posto dei driver Microsoft predefiniti, installati al momento dell
a configurazione del computer.
Memoria:
Per prestazioni ottimali si consiglia di disporre di almeno 128 MB di memoria RA

Applicazioni compatibili:
Il gioco LA PANTERA ROSA stata concepito per sfruttare al massimo le prestazioni
del computer in cui installato. Di conseguenza, si consiglia di uscire da tutte

Installazione

Inserire il disco LA PANTERA ROSA nel lettore CD-ROM/DVD-ROM.
Se la funzione di esecuzione automatica attiva, il programma di installazione vi
ene eseguito automaticamente. Se la funzione di esecuzione automatica disattivat
a, utilizzare Esplora risorse per accedere alle cartelle del CD-ROM LA PANTERA R
OSA e lanciare manualmente il programma di installazione "setup.exe"
Se il computer nel quale si desidera installare il gioco non dispone di DirectX
8.1, necessario provvedere all'installazione delle stesse prima di iniziare l'in
stallazione del gioco. Dopo aver eseguito l'installazione di DirectX, potrebbe e
ssere necessario riavviare il computer. Una volta riavviato Windows, continuare
la procedura di installazione dalla fase precedente. L'installazione riprender si
a inserendo il CD nell'unit se la funzione di esecuzione automatica attiva sia fa
cendo nuovamente clic su "setup.exe" da Esplora risorse.
Spazio occupato
LA PANTERA ROSA richiede 300 MB circa di spazio su disco rigido.

Disinstallazione

Dopo aver ultimato la disinstallazione di LA PANTERA ROSA, la cartella "data\Sav
e" ancora presente nel sistema. Eliminare la cartella manualmente.
Se la procedura di disinstallazione presenta difficolt impreviste, potrebbe esser
e necessario aggiornare il sistema di installazione e di disinstallazione di Win
dows. Per effettuare l'aggiornamento, lanciare il file "update.exe", collocato n
ella cartella "update" del CD-ROM.

gli effetti sonori.
Anti-aliasing:
In LA PANTERA ROSA possibile attivare o disattivare il sistema di anti-aliasing
per migliorare l'aspetto grafico del gioco. Sui sistemi meno potenti si consigli
a di non attivare questa funzione poich potrebbe rallentare il funzionamento del
gioco.
(Non disponibile per Geforce 4).

* Il gioco non parte o resta bloccato e mostra una schermata nera:
necessario installare le versioni pi recenti dei driver compatibili con DirectX 8
.1 per la scheda grafica in uso.
* Schede grafiche nVIDIA Geforce 4 :
Se l'opzione Anti-aliasing 2x viene attivata dai driver della scheda, possibile
che durante lo svolgimento del gioco si verifichino problemi grafici.
Questi problemi possono essere risolti disattivando l'opzione Anti-aliasing oppu
re selezionando Anti-aliasing 4x dai driver.
Dal menu Start->Impostazioni->Pannello di controllo
Selezionare l'icona "SCHERMO"
Fare clic sulla scheda "Impostazioni"
Poi premere il pulsante "Avanzate"
Cercare la scheda dove compare il nome della scheda video in uso
Fare clic su "Propriet" nella scheda "Parametri di anti-aliasing 3D"
A questo punto, selezionare "Consenti alle applicazioni del controller d
i funzionare in modalit Anti-aliasing" oppure selezionare "Impostare manualmente
la modalit Anti-aliasing" e "4x"
* Windows 2000 + schede grafiche nVIDIA Geforce 4 :
Abbiamo verificato che con Windows 2000 SP1, si presentano alcuni problemi grafi
ci o il gioco non viene avviato. Tecnicamente, questo problema pu essere risolto
solo installando il Service Pack 2 di Windows 2000.
* Schede ATI :
Se non si dispone dei driver ATI pi aggiornati compatibili con DirectX 8.1, si po
trebbero verificare problemi grafici e il rallentamento generale del sistema

Driver per schede grafiche 3D

Si consiglia di utilizzare le versioni pi aggiornate dei driver per la scheda gra
fica in uso. Se possibile, utilizzare i driver di "Riferimento" dei produttori d
el chipset grafico piuttosto che quelli personalizzati dei produttori della sche
da grafica o quelli certificati WHQL da Microsoft.
