On October 2nd, a workshop was held at Union University for delegates from several colleges attending the upcoming 45th annual Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature meeting in November. nd , an informative workshop was held at Union University for the 45 th annual Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature. This workshop was held to inform delegates on everything pertaining to General Assembly which is set to take place November 13 th -16 th . In attendance were Union, Bethel, Rhodes, Dyersburg State, and University of Tennessee at Martin delegations. Presented by Governor Jamie Arnett of Austin Peay and Speaker of Senate Brandon Chrisman of the University of Tennessee, the workshop began with a summary of information concerning accommodations and basic information about General Assembly. The presentations continued with in-depth sessions on each branch. Presentations by State Media Director Mary Jean Hall, Speaker of the House Logan Brasher, Speaker Pro Tem of Senate Olivia OBrien, Speaker Pro Tem of the House Jolie Grace- Wareham, Supreme Court Associate Justice Rachel Washburn, and Clerk and Marshall for the Tennessee Intercollegiate Supreme Court Morgan Fitzgerald. A mock parliamentary session was held at the end of the workshop which allowed delegates to get a hands-on experience with how debating and voting procedures work.
