Photo Write 10/07/14: Photograph Critique

This photograph was taken from Collins website for his 50 Elements of Art and
Principles of Design project. One thing that makes this photo strong is that the main
focus, the bowl of bread, is off center. Also, the photo has very light warm tones that
contrast with the darker tones of the photo. The photographer is also very conscious of
the background, using the bread toasting to add to the overall story of the picture.
However, to improve the photo he could remove some objects from the background to
simplify the scene and make it less clutered.
