Course Overview The purpose of this course is to present a comprehensive description of two-dimensional signal and image processing at the introductory graduate level. The course starts with two-dimensional signals, systems and transforms. It then continues with image processing basics, image enhancement, image restoration, and image coding. B. Assignments There will be (bi-)weekly assignments (homeworks) including mathematical and matlab questions. E. Project There will be a course project. Project will be done either individually or in a group (groupwork is encouraged). Project deliverables include a project proposal, a project presentation (last week of classes), and a project report. Grading Homework : % 10 ( % 0) Midterm 1 : % 30 ( % 35) Midterm 2 : % 30 ( % 35) Project : % 30 ( % 30) Students must choose Grading Option 1 or 2 by the collection date of HW#1. Midterm dates will be announced later. G. Miscellaneous Students who do not take both of Midterm 1 and Midterm 2 receive the NA grade.
