Lisa Anderson

RE: Leadership Intern

Dear Ms. Anderson:

Excellent communication skills, hard-working, innovative, and keen attention to detail was
phrases used by my manager Alex Dal Santo at Midlothian Country Club. My overall experience
with coaching both volleyball and swimming would be beneficial to working Leadership
Development Program. If you would please review my resume, you can appreciate my joy for
helping people. My ability to communicate well with people by having the patience to do so
would help greatly for the Leadership Intern position.

Currently, as a donation caller for Loras College, my job entitles calling alumni for
contributions, in doing this I am put into difficult challenges in getting around alumni objections
on refusal of donating. Using my creative skills and composed attitude to my advantage I have
managed to raise thousands of dollars for Loras College. With calling alumni there is certain
requirement to be able to communicate clearly to alumni the image of Loras College we want to
present. As a former captain of my high school volleyball team, I know what it takes to lead
others. Being a part of a team can help me along the way to assist others and work well with
other people. Currently a student at Loras College some of the courses from my transcript that
relate directly to this position are, business speaking and writing, principles of marketing, and
computing and information technology. While working for a successful volleyball organization
there was a certain type of leadership required for coaches, this has given me the skills to work
well as a Leadership Intern position.

I believe that I am perfect for the position with my strong communication skills, my leadership
ability, and innovative ideas to better my workplace. If you look to my resume you will be able
see evidence of all these traits. Please give me the opportunity to provide more information in an
interview. Please feel free to email or call anytime. I appreciate the consideration.

Sincerely,

Colleen Mulry
