Strategy Name-DR-TA
Brief Description
This strategy has students involved in reading and thinking about content through 4 steps. These steps
include brainstorming, predicting, reading and discussion.

Practical Use in the Classroom
This could be used in a physical education setting in a verbal manner. We can talk about an exercise and
while we get started ask the students to talk about as many terms as possible while getting started. We
could then predict some of the health or fitness aspects that may be relevant to the activity. We would
then perform the activity or exercise and discuss how it may or may not of been what they were
expecting or predicting. This would get the students forward thinking and put a sense of fun into the
prediction possibly coming true.
