Geological History

And of course by

mean blowing things
up

S The hidden beach
is located on the
marieta islands in
Riviera Maya,
Mexico. As you
can see the
hidden beach is
located at the top
left of the map

Bedrock Geography
S The hidden beach is believed
to have formed from a bomb
made by the Mexican
government. It was man
made. It did not form over time.
However, nature has taken its
role on the island forming it to
be completely hidden unless
seen from above. It has
become like a cave.

Natural Hazards
S One natural hazard that is
always something to keep
in mind is hurricanes.
Since the hidden beach
was formed, there has
been no recorded
hurricanes in the area.
However, it is always a
high possibility in the
location.

Human Hazards
S Even though you have
to get a specific permit
to travel to this beach,
trash is still a major
issue. When people go
there, they leave trash
and other things on the
beach.

Temperature
S Like most islands,
the weather in
Riveria Maya is
always warm. The
hidden beach is right
on the coast of
Riveria Maya so the
weather is the same.

Landforms
S This hidden beach
is on an island. It
is not a naturally
caused beach, it
was man made.
Over time, the
island grew back
its vegetation and
it formed all are
the "crater"

Surface Water
S As you can see, the
water from the
ocean flows through
the cave into the big
crater. This water
then rushes up on
the shore like any
other beach.

S As you can see, the hidden beach seems very small. It is
located on the bottom of the second
Human History
S The only human history is that this was created from a
bomb made by the Mexican government. Today, people
use the beach as a main tourist attraction
