SATURDAYS NOTABLE GAMES
Oklahoma arrived in Fort
Worth last week with the No. 4
rankingandachance tomove past
Alabama and Oregon, which lost.
But one problem: TCU 37, OU 33.
So the Frogs and Baylor are the
Big12s only unbeatens. Keep win-
ning and make the four-team
playoff. But both cannot win Sat-
urdays top-10 showdown in Wa-
co.
The Sooners remain in the
hunt but have no margin for error.
Same with Oklahoma State and
Kansas State.
Among the power five confer-
ences and independents, heres a
breakdown after last weeks
shakeup: undefeated teams (9)
SEC 3, ACC 2, Big 12 2, Big Ten 0,
Pac-12 1, Independent 1 (Notre
Dame). One-loss teams (26)
Big Ten 7; Pac-12 7; SEC 6; Big 12
3; ACC 2; Independent 1(BYU).
Much adding and subtracting
will be done before the CFPs 13-
member committee selects the
topfour on Dec. 7.
Surprises thinned the unbeatens
UPSET SPECIAL
13. Georgia at 23. Missouri (+3)
11 a.m. (Ch. 11): The Bulldogs have won three
straight but are 2-7 in their last nine road
games and must play without suspended TB
Todd Gurley. The Tigers overcame a 13-point
deficit in the fourth quarter to beat South
Carolina, 21-20. Missouri 27, Georgia 23.
STATEMENT GAME
Duke (+3) at 22. Ga. Tech
11:30 a.m. (Ch. 21): Just because Tech is ranked
for the first time in almost three years, that
doesnt mean the Yellow Jackets are rank.
Theyll be 6-0 if they can beat Duke (4-1) for
the 11th straight time. Ga. Tech 30, Duke 23.
