anyone who owns tasks.

2. Find your work

. It will give you an overview of the My Work section of the Home tab, where youll be spending most of your time in
LiquidPlanner.
Now, try it for yourself. Go to Home > My Tasks in your workspace and review the tasks assigned to you. Notice
that theyre in priority order, or in other words, the order in which you should complete them. In your job, you may
jump around a bit on the tasks and thats okay as long as youre logging progress as you go (more on that later). If
the order of your tasks doesnt look correct, take a minute to sync up with your project manager. (Or x it yourself via
the Projects tab if thats the way your team operates.)
Next, jump over to the Projects tab and click the lter to my items icon. This is a way to see your tasks in
the context of the overall project plan.
3. Make progress updates
Youre now ready to start working on your very rst task in LiquidPlanner. Begin with the rst task at the top of My
Tasks on the Home tab. Make sure you do the following every time you work on a task (it only takes a few minutes):

Log Your Progress. In order for your schedule to be accurate you must track time. Use the Log Progress eld to
enter the time you spent working on each task. Or, if youre using a timer, click on the running timer and select Use.
Try to log your progress as you go, or at minimum, once a day.
Check the Estimate. As you update your progress, the remaining work
(http://www.liquidplanner.com/support/articles/estimating-in-ranges) is automatically reduced. Note that those
estimates are best case / worst case scenarios. If necessary, go ahead and re-estimate to reect the amount of work
left. Always double-check the remaining estimate to keep your schedule accurate.
Collaborate. From the Edit Panel (/support/articles/the-edit-panel), you can communicate project updates and
share information by adding a comment (/support/articles/comments/). It can be a general update, like Good
progress being made, or something more detailed, like Sent round 1 revisions back to the designer. You can also
address your comments to other team members. To keep an even more detailed record, use the Notes, Documents, or
Links sections.
4. Check your Personal Prole Settings
Visit your Personal Prole Settings to make sure that everything is set up correctly. Click on your Avatar menu in the
upper right, and then select My Prole (/support/articles/your-personal-prole-settings/).
Make sure that your Availability reects the number of hours per day that youll spend on project work scheduled
in LiquidPlanner.
Upload an avatar (it could be a picture of yourself, your favorite cartoon character, or even a movie star).
