Succeeding as a Mahindra Igniter, our entry level program for graduate and postgraduate
engineers requiresacombinationof technicalexpertise, critical thinking,and people skills. We
look for talented mechanical, civil, and electrical/electronics engineers who enjoy handson
learning and arecapable of workingwith sophisticated manufacturingtechnologies.
We seek talented, selfmotivated individuals who take the initiative to pursue new ideas. We

HiringProcess
The recruitment process begins in AugustSeptember with a round of campus visits. The
recruitment teamholdsaseriesof oncampusinformation sessions. Currently,werecruit about
700 graduates from 120 universities including IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), NITs
(NationalInstitutes of Technology),and select regionalinstitutions.
In orderto apply,candidatesmust haveacumulativescore of at least 60 percent at graduation.
Eligible candidates are invited to appear for a written test. The test covers functional
engineering topics (mechanical, electrical, etc.), analytical ability, and enthusiasm and
knowledge about automobiles and farming, respectively. The test is validated by an external
agencyto ensure consistencyacrossallcampuses.
Candidateswho pass the written test are called forinterviewswith ourHuman Resourcesteam
later that day. This interview helps us match candidateswith positions theywillenjoyand excel
in. We conduct a group discussion, case study analysis, extempore (unprepared speech), and
group activities to look for candidates who can take initiative, think creatively, communicate
well,and work wellon ateam.

Next,weconduct technicalinterviews to evaluatecandidates functional domain knowledge in
their field of engineering. We may also inquire about projects completed as part of the
academic curriculum, extracurricular activities,and hobbies.
Offersare extended immediatelyafter thetechnicalinterview.Thefinal step in theprocessis a
medicalexamat anyof thecompanyapproved medicalcentre orOccupationalHealth Centres
(OHCs) in variousplant locations.

Salary
You will receive a competitive salary that increases with educational attainment, so that you
receive higher compensation if you hold a postgraduate degree than if you hold a graduate

Your first year will be a training period dedicated to induction, shop floor and onthejob
