Early Life: My mother read to me as a child and sparked my interest
in literature and writing. Elementary School: My kindergarten teacher encouraged me to write small stories and illustrate them. My rst series of books followed a character that was a star and could not nd his purpose in life. Ultimately, he nds that his purpose is to be a Christmas tree topper. Middle School: I was placed in advanced English classes. I began to despise writing after our writing-based standardized tests and ceaseless preparation. I hated researching and writing informative papers. Also in middle school, I discovered online, forum-based literary RPG's (role playing games). My rst RP was a public, beginner's forum that was based on the Warriors series. I developed a character named Mudfang and nearly ruined the forum's running plotline during my rst month as a member. My newly found friends created a forum that we named Wolves of the Mist. High School: After having a falling out with my RPG friends, I fell out of writing until I met Mr. Moss. I joined debate and knew that I wanted to write as a hobby. Debate shaped me as a persuasive writer, a speaker, and person. Moss focused more on my words than my grammar, and that was more than encouraging. I shared with him an original screenplay that I wrote for my senior project.
