The brake pedal or lever is connected to a hypersensitive rheostat (measures ele

ctrical resistance). The more you push it, the greater the electrical signal sen
t to the brake computer.
When a wheel is about to lock up, the control unit signals the hydraulic unit
to reduce hydraulic pressure (or not increase it further) at that wheels brake ca
liper. Pressure modulation is handled by electrically-operated solenoid valves
The working principle of the electromagnetic brake is based on the creation of m
agnetic field within a metal disc rotating between two electromagnets, which set
s up a force opposing the rotation of the disc
