In Sweden, there is a government agency called the Equality Ombudsman (DO). The DO works to combat discrimination and to promote equal rights and opportunities for everyone. Sweden feels like it has almost perfect gender equality. Both the US and Sweden have laws, and organizations to help gender equality get further. Both countries have similar ratios of men to women. There are still problems in both countries with gender equality issues.
