Picot Knot Stitch

Picot Knot Stitch


This stitch is worked over a multiple of 6 stitches plus 3. 12
rows form the pattern.
1st row (RS): K.
2nd row: P.
3rd 4th rows: Rep 1st and 2nd rows.
5th row: K1, * cast on 4 sts on to left-hand needle, K4, sl st
used to cast on off needle, lift 3rd, 2nd and 1st st over 4th
(called knot 1), K5, rep from * to last 2 sts, knot 1, K1.
6th row: P.
7th 10th rows: Rep 1st 4th rows.
11th row: K1, * K3, knot 1, K2, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2.
12th row: P.
Knot 1, 5th row (A): Knit the first stitch, * insert the right-hand
needle point into the next stitch on left-hand needle and cast
on 4 stitches on to left-hand needle (wind yarn round and draw
through a loop, then slip on to left-hand needle in the normal
way).
Knot 1, 5th row (B): Using the right-hand needle, knit the 4
cast-on stitches and allow the stitch used to cast on to slip from
needle.
Knot 1, 5th row (C): Using the point of the left-hand needle, lift
the 3rd cast-on stitch over the 4th, then the 2nd over the 4th
and finally the 1st over the 4th.
Continue in pattern.
